Power, Corruption, & Lies-The 1978 World Cup | AFC Finners | Football History Documentary

1978年アルゼンチン大会

The 1978 World Cup would be hosted in Argentina, a country in turmoil, having recently been overtaken by a military dictatorship. The tournament was full of controversy, with allegations of match-fixing and bribery rife.

The tournament still carries negative connotations to this day, but sadly, the world of football does not appear to have learned its lesson.
